Why ReelShort downloads take a few seconds
ReelShort streams its episodes as HLS: a playlist plus dozens of small video segments, rather than one file. To give you a normal video, dldrama fetches those segments and joins them into a single MP4 inside your browser, without re-encoding. That is why you see a progress bar before the Save file button appears. The quality you get is the quality ReelShort serves publicly, typically 720×1280 vertical video.
Because the file is built in browser memory, a few limits keep things stable: an episode can be up to 128 MB and 500 segments, and the queue holds up to 24 jobs. Short-drama episodes are far below those limits, so in practice you can queue a whole set of free episodes at once.
Where the downloaded file goes
Nothing is stored on our servers. The prepared MP4 stays in your browser until you press Save file, which hands it to your browser's normal download flow. If you refresh or close the tab before saving, the prepared file is gone and you need to download it again. Your recently resolved links are remembered in this browser only, so you can return to a series quickly.
